So cutipie! It's good to you Gabi! You have a very cutie assistant! :-)
Here we have so hot weather, so maybe all the work is going to waste and my mother cannot harvest too much. She cannot water because there is no water at all.

Oh, here the vegetables are just drying out. The prices are already high and the salesmen are tricking with the goods.
They're selling fruits and vegetables as Hungarian products, but most of them are coming from import.

Here the Hungarian products are representing a better quality food, because they are harvested when they are mature and has a good taste. So it can be sold for a higher price. The plastic taste import goods are cheaper, anyway they look so good. A lot of salesmen are selling these plastic taste vegetables and fruits for a higher price and saying that is a very good Hungarian product. Anyway when you buy it and trying to eat it at home, you realise that it has plasic taste. They imported it for a cheap price and sell it for a higher price...

Now the tomatoes are starting - and the taste is so great! to pick them directly from the plant and have the full flavor ---- ah, delicious. Even the tomatoes sold in the organic/bio shops do not have it.

The season is coming to the end Gabi. Did you enjoyed gardening and have enough time for it?
I think there is always a lot to do in the garden. This year we did not have too much rain, so a lot of plants were just dried out.

Today, I was given away aroun 50 pots of violets. I had to make some place on my plant stand. My heart was bleeding for some standards, but I had to be strong.
I gave it away to the lady who was helping me to carry my violets to the spring exhibition. There will be a good place for the violets at her.

You have an exhibition soon :-) I think you are already excited. How many plants will you bring to the exhibition. Do you have a list of varieties?

There was a violet among those ones which I wanted to gave away. But I have changed my mind regarding to this violet :P
It has sooo dark flower buds. The most dark purple I ever had...

It is called EK-Polnoc.

Laci, that must have been really hard to part with the violets!
For myself I also had to reduce ... it was due to lack of time. Some of my varieties did not survive the hot summer this year ..... but I try to catch up now. A big sack with soil for flowers sits on my door step and I am potting my violets soon.

Last week the weather was great and I went hiking in the mountains south of Munich. Went to Schliersee (See = lake), went up to an alm hut and down to another lake - Tegernsee. Maggy had fun, too.

So beautiful, Gabi! It looks so shiny and worm, the nature is so beautiful!

Laci, regarding our exhibition. All the violets are with big buds! I will make a list of varieties and calculate the number soon, and will post it on the exhibition' topic.

Gabi, you have so many beatiful places there. We don't have mountains at all. The highest point of Hungary is 1014 meters :)

In November I have to fly to France. This will be my second time travelling by plane. I'm affraid of flying, but I'm really looking forward to see France. It will be my first time there. We will work, but I'm hoping I could look around during 1 week.

Terminology

Saintpauliaitis ( more commonly known as African Violitis) - the light headed euphoria experienced by African Violet growers when feasting their eyes upon their very own blooming creations.
