Chiemsee - the Bavarian sea

Last week-end the weather was gorgeous and I went for a day trip to the Chiemsee, a large lake in the South of Bavaria. It is the largest lake in Bavaria and also sometimes called the Bavarian sea. The photos do not show the real size, I was walking along a small corner. It was so relaxing to walk along the lake-side happy03:

There is a flock of very tame Greylag Geese on the Chiemsee. I think that these are the descendants of the geese from Konrad Lorenz!

I never heard about these geese ... but who knows ;)

There are several towers to watch birds along the lake shore. It is amazing to watch all the different birds, there are even flamingoes.

There is also a fish which lives nowhere else in the world than in the Chiemsee.

Schwebrenke, Coregonus hoferi, but it is possibly extinct ...
